Salgueiro’s – Camisaria & Chapelaria is one of the most emblematic stores in the city. With origins dating back to 1869, it is considered one of the oldest stores in the city. Founded by Silvério, it later came under the management of César Alves and, since 1987, it has been in the hands of António Salgueiro, who inherited the business from his father, Manuel Salgueiro. António has been working in the store since he was 21 years old, continuing a family tradition that spans over a century. Specializing in hat and shirt making, Salgueiro's offers a carefully selected range of hats — including natural straw panamas imported from Ecuador, felt hats, and berets — as well as 100% Portuguese shirts from the Marfel brand. The store also provides ties, handkerchiefs, scarves, umbrellas, and other classic accessories.
